Liability Statement
While we use ONLY FDA approved cosmetic grade face painting supplies, Artist is not liable for allergic reactions to paints. People with skin allergies or sensitive skin should either not participate, or have Artist perform a patch test at the beginning of the party. Client understands that darker face paints will leave a faint stain that must be removed with mild soap, water and washcloth. For safety reasons, Artists will not paint children under 2 years old or anyone who is unwilling. For sanitary reasons, Artists will not paint anyone who is or appears to be sick or suffering from cold sores, conjunctivitis, ringworm, sunburn, eczema, any infectious skin condition or open wounds. Artists will use reasonable care, but is not responsible for damage to clothing or property. The Client agrees to pay for any accidents or injuries caused by pets or guests, and/or any damage to Artist’s equipment or supplies caused by pets, lawn sprinklers, or guests. Under no circumstances will Artists supervise children. Their behavior and safety is the Client’s and/or Parents’ responsibility.
Fees
Face Painting: Averages $60 - $70 Per Hour with a 1 Hour minimum based on how many hours/type of event. Face Painting and Balloon Art $85 - $95.  Call or email to get your hourly rate. Artist can paint approximately 6-10 faces per hour depending on the complexity of the designs that are chosen. Be sure to book your time accordingly to avoid leaving anyone out to avoid disappointment. Sometimes we have an event booked right after yours and we may not be able to stay past stop-time contracted. If you exceed the time booked and we are available to stay, it will be charged in half hour increments. Client will pay for the time booked plus overrun, even if Client has delayed the time we start the actual painting.
Deposit
A non-refundable 50% deposit of the total estimated cost of the event is due 14 days prior to event. The remaining 50% and any additional charges are due on the day of the event. Client must pay for a minimum of 1 hour even if Client uses Artists for less than 1 hour, and the date isn’t considered booked until the deposit clears the bank. Deposit must be received 12 calendar days prior to event or client runs the risk of losing that date.
Travel-Other Fees
Should deposit check be returned, the event date is not secured until replacement deposit is received in cash. Additionally, there is a $30 returned check fee. Travel fees apply when the event is more than 25 minutes from Artist home address in a $20 flat rate per half hour increment.
Balloons
 Client agrees to keep balloons away from children less than three years of age, as balloons can present a choking hazard to young children, and acknowledges that artist will NOT give balloons to children under three years of age. Client agrees that if any disputes arise, the artist(s) have the final say over who will or will not receive balloons. Example: When artist refuses to give a balloon to a child less than three years of age, client cannot force artist to do so). Depending on your event, there may be a charge for outdoor, lengthy or difficult setup.
Parking
Parking fees must be paid to artist along with deposit. Please either leave a space open in front of the house on the street, the driveway, or a loading dock so Artist can unload equipment. The Client will reimburse Artists for any parking fees. If permit parking or passes are required, this MUST be received as part of deposit. Please specify unusual requirements above.
Indoor Setup
A minimum of 6’ x 6’ space and 15 minutes of setup and take down time is required. Please ensure that location has adequate lighting.
Weather (for outdoor events)
Client will provide us with sun/wind/rain shelter, and lighting to paint. You are responsible to provide an alternate indoor location in the event of inclement weather. The client agrees to pay the full amount contracted once the painter has arrived at the event location, even if it is raining. Please list an alternate indoor location on the front of the contract. **We do not offer refunds for inclement weather so please secure an alternate indoor location for your event in advance.
Cancellations / Refunds / Reschedule
Should you need to reschedule your event, please do so at least 7 days prior and we will make every effort to meet your needs. If you need to cancel the event, your deposit is not refundable but may be applied to a different date. If you book a date with us, we turn down other clients for that time slot - this is why our deposits are not refundable. Should our Artist get sick/ have to cancel, every effort will be made to find a replacement Artist or Client’s deposit will be refunded.
Limitations Of Artwork
If in public, artists will not paint on any part of the body that is not legal to expose or anyplace she does not feel comfortable painting. In addition, Artists will not paint subject matter she deems offensive or disturbing.
Extreme Adverse Working Conditions
Artist has the right to cease painting and leave without refunding any monies if there are extreme adverse working conditions and the Client fails to remedy the situation after it has been brought to the Client’s attention. Adverse conditions included but not limited to: destructive, violent, or extreme inappropriate behavior of a child, pet or adult; illegal activities; or otherwise dangerous conditions.
